Hideaki Kawashima originally made slightly larger version of this box in 2013 and he redesigned it with the smaller scale. That is why it is called mini.
Although it is not that too difficult to open, but it is modestly difficult and satisfactory, i would say. I personally do not really like those puzzles which are too difficult to open, so this is my type of a box and very Mr. Kawashima kind of work puzzle box, so if you liked his works in the past, you will enjoy this box too.
Moreover the mono torn design is beautiful and I also like the look of it on my shelf.
Please do not forcefully try to move the panels because you may damage the structure of the box by applying too much force on it.
